About the Duckhorn Portfolio Wines
- Goldeneye Brut Rose 2017
“Anderson Valley has earned acclaim for the complexity and distinctiveness of its sparkling wines. Made from our very best blocks of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, our vibrant and alluring Goldeneye Brut Rosé captures the rich diversity of our estate program, offering vivid layers of blood orange, honeydew and hazelnut flavors”
- Goldeneye Pinot Noir 10 Degrees 2019
“In 1996, building on their tradition of excellence established at Duckhorn Vineyards, and their growing love of Pinot Noir, Dan and Margaret Duckhorn came to Anderson Valley to found Goldeneye. Anderson Valley has since earned acclaim as one of the world’s greatest Pinot Noir regions. Representing the pinnacle of our winemaking portfolio, Ten Degrees is made from only our finest lots, making it a Pinot Noir of unparalleled grace and grandeur.”
- Three Palm Merlot 2018
“Since our inaugural 1978 vintage, we have been proud to craft a vineyard-designate Merlot from the legendary Three Palms Vineyard. Named for its three iconic palm trees, this warm, up-valley vineyard features lean soils that cause the vines to send their roots deep in search of nutrients, yielding a profoundly intense and age-worthy wine with complex fruit and mineral layers. As a testament to its status as the benchmark for New World Merlot, in 2017, Wine Spectator honored our 2014 Three Palms Vineyard Merlot as “Wine of the Year.”
- The Discussion
“Almost four decades ago, before crafting their first vintage, the Duckhorns and their winemaker had a passionate discussion at the kitchen table. Though they debated making a cuvée, they chose to focus on varietal wines. Even so, Duckhorn Vineyards has always remained fascinated by the artful blend of varietals from diverse Napa Valley vineyards. Embodying the depth and complexity of a world-class Estate program, The Discussion represents the pinnacle of the Duckhorn Vineyards portfolio and the ongoing dialogue that defines great winemaking.”
- Calera Viognier Doux
“In 1975, legendary vintner and pioneer Josh Jensen founded Calera (Spanish for “lime kiln”) high on the majestic slopes of Mt. Harlan in the Gavilan Mountains of California’s Central Coast. In these low-yielding, limestone-rich soils and cool climate, he began planting estate vineyards that are now recognized as some of the New World’s most treasured vineyard sites. We crafted our Viognier Doux in homage to the brilliant, frozen-on-the-vine Icewines that have been produced for centuries from the coldest vineyard sites in the Northern Hemisphere.”
